We can only be as good as the people behind the scenes … in the kitchen, behind the counter, the front of house …. if we didn’t have the staff we have, Scaturo’s would not be who we are today! We know it, we’re proud of it, and we’re very thankful for all of them! Be assured that when you visit us, you will always be treated like family … from all of us!

We have the best staff in the business!
JoAnne and I couldn’t be more proud of our staff. They work their tails off for us, which means they work their tails off for you! And it shows in the food we put out and the variety of bakery selection we offer. Plus the To Go Dinners, Family Meals, Pizza choices – you name it! We simply have the best Door County staff in the business! Both in the kitchen, and in front of house! To all of them, thank you!

Our Kitchen Team
Of course JoAnne and I (Rob) have been in the kitchen since Day One. And you will continue to see us in there on a regular basis. But enough about us! We may sound biased but we have THE BEST kitchen team you can find … in Sturgeon Bay, Door County, heck maybe in all of Northeast Wisconsin! We are so proud, and grateful, to have these wonderfully talented professionals doing what they do every day, just for you! So we’d like to ‘toot their horn’ about each of them!
Robert ‘Bert’ Rupp
Executive Chef
Bert started his culinary journey at young age working with his father at Anello’s Torch Lite in Shawano, Wisconsin. He attended Fox Valley Technical College for Culinary Arts where he met his wonderful wife, Alisa. Before joining Scaturo’s Bert was the Executive Chef at Green Bay Country Club. Bert Enjoys bowling, golfing, gardening, and ice fishing when he’s not working or spending time with his wife Alisa and dogs, Bella and Little Bear.
Alisa Rupp
General Manager
Alisa has been an employee at Scaturo’s since 2002. She was born and raised here in Sturgeon Bay. After high school, she attended Fox Valley Technical College for Culinary Arts. Alisa enjoys bowling, dartball, golf, reading, and spending time with Bert and their dogs.
Chase Mickey
Bakery Manager
Chase grew up right down the road from Scaturo’s and our bakery has been a part of his life from a young age when he used to trade hugs for cookies with Joanie. He began working here at 16 and continued off and on until he became a full time manager. Chase was trained in baking by the GOAT, Alisa. When he is not working Chase enjoys golfing, watching sports and playing with his dog Miska.
Chef V
“Scaturo’s to go” Chef
Chef V is the newest member of the Scaturo’s management team. He learned to cook Italian food from his great-grandmother who was born and raised in Turin, Italy. Before coming to Scaturo’s, Chef V cooked at many different restaurants throughout Green Bay and Madison, starting at the age of 15. He was most recently employed as a Culinary Arts Instructor with the Green Bay Public Schools, and spent his summers cooking in Sturgeon Bay. Chef V lives in Green Bay with his two cats; Skullkrusher and Chainsaw.
